When people are asked what is their most prized possession, the answer might be their car, their home or – as is the case with us laptop nuts – their laptops, which many of us simply can’t live without. They’re special little machines really, aren’t they?

Of course we all use our laptops for various different reasons. For example, laptops are ideal in a working environment as you can essentially take your work home with you, they also appeal to creative types who are perhaps changing their work setting on a regular basis, but they too provide a function for regular computer based actions other devices offer but in a slicker, neater and generally more efficient way. You can surf the web, play various games such as PUBG or keep it simple with a nice and easy game of solitaire and the like. Essentially, laptops are ideal for people on-the-go and – depending on what you’re looking for – there’s one out there for everyone.

With technological advancements continually coming to the fore and giving us users the chance to experience some of the best laptops we’ve ever been exposed to, we thought we’d catch up on the latest developments in 2019 and highlight some of the very best laptops around at this moment in time.

So, with that in mind, below are three of the best laptops on the market at the moment.

Dell XPS 13

A beautiful looking machine which is incredibly quick, the Dell XPS 13 is easily one of the best laptops on the market currently. This most recent model moves the webcam back to a more sensible spot above the screen which, alongside the thinner design of the laptop overall, makes for a really slick little device. Chuck in the luxe 4K screen too and this machine is one hell of a beauty. Any downsides? Well, yes. It isn’t cheap but you are paying a bit extra for an excellent device. The Dell XPS 13 is, without a doubt, a viable option for so many people.

HP Envy 13

HP laptops are available here and we can certainly vouch for them, with the HP Envy 13 standing out from the lot. It contains an 8th-gen Intel Core i7 processor which doubles down with 16GB of RAM and graphics handled by the Nvidia GeForce MX250, helping to utilise an extra 2GB of dedicated video memory. Sounds expensive perhaps, right? Well, not really. It’s actually reasonably priced considering what it comes with and the remarkably powerful machine that it is, alongside its nifty additional features such as a fingerprint scanner and a physical webcam kill switch on the side of the machine. The sound on it is superb too, with audio tech from Bang and Olufsen, along with HP’s own Audio Boost technology. In all honesty, it’s hard to fault this laptop.

Asus ZenBook Pro 14

A lovely looking machine, the Asus ZenBook Pro 14 also comes with a hell of a lot of power too. The system has a unique ScreenPad which is a large touchpad that can also be used as a second screen with Windows extendable and other popular applications such as iTunes and Microsoft Office, giving you extra access and, ultimately, additional controls. Think Apple’s TouchBar, but quite possibly better. In terms of specs, it’s an all-round solid offering really. It comes with an 8th-gen quad-core Intel Core i7-8565U processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of SSD storage, alongside a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Max-Q chipset with 2GB of video RAM.
